Healthcare is Changing, and So is Beebe

The way people receive healthcare services is changing rapidly across the country, and Beebe has been changing how it cares for this community, too. Since the peak in hospital admissions reached early last year, Beebe has successfully reduced the number of people who need to stay in the hospital, through its efforts to broaden and elevate its outpatient care, and keep people healthy.

Designed with the Patient in Mind [VIDEO]

During the planning process for creating a second location for our cancer center, the design team created life-size mock-ups of rooms to allow Tunnell Cancer Center Executive Director Barry Hamp and the team to see what a room might look like and to have the ability to focus on what is best for the patient—right down to where to place coat hooks.

Beebe Healthcare names construction, architectural and engineering partners

Beebe Healthcare has selected the construction, design and engineering firms for its expansion and renovation project

According to a release, Beebe will be using an Integrated Project Design (IPD) approach with its expansion plans. Under this model of IPD, all firms including construction manager, architect, mechanical engineer and civil engineer, work together with Beebe Healthcare and the community in mind.

Beebe Healthcare chose Whiting-Turner, Baltimore as the construction manager. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company provides preconstruction, construction management, general contracting, design-build and integrated project delivery services for commercial, industrial, public and private projects. The company has been active in larger Delaware construction projects.
